ABOUT THE ART-eST
The ART-eST is a powerful all-in-one and high quality components platform for SAR system validation and verification including dipole parameter monitoring.
With low signal-noise, good amplifier gain, no moving parts, S11 parameter measurement and outstanding software control, SAR testing laboratories can now perform precise and fast repeatable system verification and validation.
The ART-eST is able to measure S11 parameter for dipoles and antennas while continuously monitoring the linear behaviour.
Power Monitoring Kit's integrated power meter is DAkkS Calibrated to meet IEEE/IEC/FCC SAR requirements.
The ART-eST is 100% software controlled providing the ability to reduce test time and align with business as test need to evolve.

SYSTEM VALIDATION CHALLENGES
REQUIRED SYSTEM VALIDATION PROCESS
Following the international standards, all the SAR systems in use need to be validated especially in a certification process. Such a validation takes time to be processed correctly and often leads to failure.
Test laboratories have a daily requirement to ensure SAR measurements are highly accurate. SAR measurement systems must be rigorously checked to ensure the measuring accuracy meets the system manufacturer uncertainty budget.
REQUIRED SYSTEM VALIDATION FOR TEST LABS & CERTIFICATION PURPOSES
- Mobile phone SAR certification
- Connected devices SAR certification
- IEC 62209-3 compliance process
- Newly installed system
- Software update
- Before a SAR test (specific frequency band checking)
- Move location
- More than 2 degrees drift (operating ambient temperature)
REQUIRED SYSTEM VALIDATION FOR MOBILE & IoT MANUFACTURERS
Manufacturers using SAR systems for pre-compliance testing or R&D testing are encouraged to perform verifications of their SAR measurement systems to have meaningful data. Where in the past, such checks might have been laborious due to setup, repeatability issues and cost, ART-eST makes it easy to keep their equipment in top shape:
- Pre-certification of a new device (smartphone, IoT...)
- Newly installed system
- Software update
- Before a SAR test (specific frequency band checking)
- Move location
- More than 2 degrees drift (operating ambient temperature)
AUTOMATIC & EASY SYSTEM VALIDATION
The ART-eST is an all-in-one solution that requires only three connections to perform automatic, highly precise validations and verifications. The lack of moving parts also leads to improved durability and fewer bugs, faults, and workarounds.
