American market: 5G & SAR measurement challenges are gaining more and more awareness
TCB Workshop Baltimore, Maryland (USA).
TCB Council Workshop, November 11-14th 2019, Baltimore - Maryland (USA).
During this TCB Workshop, SAR topics have captured a large place underlying the awareness of the American market for SAR measurement challenges. Concerns regarding SAR measurement precision, especially for 5G due to new devices emission modes and customer’s intended use, have been widely shared. Industry’ speakers unanimously underlined the huge exponential complexity of 5G RF exposure measurements. Clarity on risks and limitations of historical SAR measurement technique for 5G has been presented.
Attendees(*) have been impressed with the opportunity of the unique RF Vector Probe Array proposed by ART-Fi to solve 5G RF exposure measurements concerns (ART-MAN system). The publication of a new SAR measurement standard (IEC 62209-3) supporting the RF Vector Probe Array technology is an opportunity to for 5G. ART-Fi also presented the benefits of using its technology to address multiple new emission modes and intended use involved in 5G.
Live demo of ART-MAN have shown how easy it was to solve this challenges with high measurement precision in real-time. This new generation of SAR systems and solutions are turning strategic for market surveillance process evolution.
