ART-Fi wins 2021 AFNOR OR'NORMES trophy
On October 14, 2021, ART-Fi wins the French Association for Standardization (AFNOR) award "OR'NORMES"
This award crowns the normative work of ART-Fi, as international leader in the measurement of human RF exposure. The award relates in particular to the IEC 62209-3 standard, published end of 2019, the first performance oriented standard for SAR measurement (Specific Absorption Rate). Written with international standardization experts, the performance orientation of this new standard now reconciles all stakeholders: the industry, which seeks to produce ever more innovative mobile phones while respecting regulatory exposure limits - faster and at a lower cost, the regulators who must monitor that the conformity is respected on the market, and the consumer who is asking for transparency on SAR while benefiting ever more performant mobiles.
As the adoption of this new standard is essential, particularly for 5G challenges, ART-Fi and its partners are determined to continue their work to accelerate its European harmonization, despite the resistance linked to the monopolistic history of the previous standards (which was exclusive technologically and not able to adress 5G). Another very important move for the recognition of the ART-Fi disruptive technology.
